Health Minister Jack Dorsey on Tuesday said Viagra, the brand name for sildenafil, was a “dangerous” drug for men who were struggling to afford medical supplies.
“I think there’s a lot of concerns over Viagra,” Mr Dorsey said. “The main thing is there is a lot of confusion over the issue. Viagra is a safe drug for men who are struggling to afford medical supplies, but I would like to clarify that point.”
The Federal Government was forced to ban Pfizer’s erectile dysfunction drug in June after it revealed that it had sold Viagra in Australia for more than $200 million.
